巨大蜂窝（Gigantic Beehive）是多人版饥荒中独有的自然生成物品，于版本“新王朝”更新中介绍。巨大蜂窝可以在牧草地与其他蜂巢一起被发现。它长的就像一个正常的蜂巢，但尺寸大得多了。巨大蜂窝里居住著女王蜂，使用锤子锤击数下之后便会从蜂巢中现身。
顶部的孔会流著蜂蜜，而使用锤子锤击 2 下后会减少流出的蜂蜜大小，并掉落 1－2 个蜂蜜到地上，有时候也会掉落 1 个蜂窝。在顶部的蜂蜜消失前，蜂蜜是可以在不生成女王蜂的状况下进行重复采收的。顶部的蜂蜜每 5 天就会增长一次，敲击后便能获得更多的蜂蜜。要注意的是，就算玩家无意让女王蜂生成，每隔几天就敲打它来采收蜂蜜终究会生成女王蜂。
巨大蜂窝在被破坏后会在地面上留下一个蜂巢巢室，且无法在上面行走。它会在大约 20 天后重新生成，这让蜂窝也可以重新生成。
